Varme Underfloor Heating Cable Kits
By far our most popular system in bathrooms, for it's flexibility in covering any shape and size of room. Like the cable mat, it can be laid onto existing floors & covered by tile adhesive, but comes as one length of cable which is layed out and run into any shaped room or area. Cable kits can be used in any room, no matter how irregular the shape. Cable kits are also a low cost alternative for larger rooms, especially those with irregular shapes, which don't lend themselves to easy mat installation.

Varme Ltd Underfloor Heating Cable Mats
The cable mat system is similar to the cable kit, using the same 3mm 'twin core' cable with a single cold lead. The only difference being that the cable is already pre-spaced & attached to a self-adhesive mesh. With the heating cable already spaced out & with a self-adhesive coating on the mesh, installation couldn't be simpler! The mat is simply rolled out, pressed onto a primed floor, then tiled over. The mat is suitable for both timber & concrete sub-floors.

Varme Ltd Underfloor Heating Insulation
In order to maximise the efficiency of any heating system, insulation plays an important role - this is especially important when considering low temperature floor heating. Where new floors are being constructed in new buildings or conservatories, good quality insulation should be incorporated at the design stage. However the problem comes when electric underfloor heating is being installed in an existing building where taking up an un-insulated floor is often not a practical option.
